After 70 years of yoga being predominately taught, spread and practiced by woman worldwide, why are we stymied when asked to teach the module, “Yoga for Woman”? So much so, that Anusara had to make that module optional? This workshop will dive into the, “waters we swim in” uncovering the fascinating stories that lie hidden in those depths. We will touch on the influence of patriarchy as it grew in key Afro-Asiatic and Indo-European language cultures, explore propensities, rhythms and capacities unique to woman, learn to thrive through balancing our hormones, then top it off by celebrating the radical spirituality that affirms our feminine as we make the paradigm shift into ecstatic Tantric Goddess traditions. Anusara is uniquely configured to evolve this conversation, to divulge the woman stories, to reveal their boundless gifts. Regardless of our gender, it’s a treasure to explore the feminine.
